About Fraser Vineyard

HaileyWith the help of friends and family, Bill and Bev Fraser planted their vineyard in the spring of 2003.  The Canyon County site, in the new Snake River Valley Appellation, was selected for its steep south facing slope, 2,700 foot elevation and abundant Idaho sunshine.  The vineyard is comprised of three Bordeaux varietals: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Petit Verdot and we utilize a drip irrigation and a vertical shoot positioning (VSP) trellis system.

Our wines are fermented in small open topped fermenters and aged in new American and French oak barrels.

In 2006, a wet spring and long warm growing season provided another excellent vintage of our estate Cabernet Sauvignon.  Also in 2006, we also made a small quantity of Idaho Viognier, which was released in August 2007.  The Viognier was awarded a Silver Medal by the Treasure Valley Wine Society but both wines sold out completely in a few months.

We are releasing our new 2009 Viognier starting April 10th. This Viognier is our best effort so far. Don't wait long to pick up this one.

The 2007 Estate Grown Single Vineyard Fraser Cabernet Sauvignon is sold out as well as our 2008 Couloir Cuvee.

We have a very limited supply of our 2008 Randonee Red. This blend got a "Outstanding" award from Wine Press Northwest recently. We did make a few magnums of our 2007 Fraser Cabernet Sauvignon (also received an "Outstanding from Wine Press Northwest) which are an excellent investment and would make any small gathering very special.
