Fraser Vineyard Wine
After entering a few wines into the 2011 Northwest Wine Summit, the 2009 Petite Sirah and 2009 Petit Verdot won Gold Medals and the 2010 Viognier won a Silver Medal.
The next Cab in the series (following the 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon that received Top Honors in WPNW Competition, read more) is a 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon is a NW Wine Summit Gold Medal Winner. There are also a few magnums of the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon available, a very nice bottle with its red wax seal and sells for $85 a bottle. Bill believes this is our very best Cabernet (we were never able to submit it to a competition, but certainly should have).
A quick word about the 2009 Petite Sirah. This is an exceptional full-bodied red of 100% Petite Sirah from the Williamson and Skyline vineyards of the Snake River Valley. There are only a few magnums left of our PS. An article featured in the Idaho Press Tribune named the vintage “Perfect for Barbeques”.
The 2009 Petit Verdot has won an “Excellent” from WPNW and was nominated for a Platinum.
OUR TWO LATEST RELEASES ARE THE 2010 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon, 2011 Washington Malbec and 2011 Tempranillo. The Cabernet is extra special this year as it was in French, Hungarian and US barrels for two years, bottled and cellared for eight months before we released it. The Washington Malbec is wonderful and just won a gold medal at the Great NW Wine Competition. Just released and selling fast. The Couloir Cuvee’s blend for 2010 is 25%cabernet and 75% syrah. At $21.00 this is a bargain. Fruity, tannins, great finish.
